The pH of the human body refers to the balance of acidity and alkalinity. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14, with a pH of 7 being neutral. A pH below 7 is considered acidic, while a pH above 7 is considered alkaline.

There is evidence to suggest that maintaining a more alkaline pH in the body may help to prevent or fight cancer. The theory behind this is that cancer cells tend to thrive in an acidic environment, while a more alkaline environment may inhibit their growth.

Other Health benefits of a higher PH include:

  • Weight Loss and control
  • Improved bone health
  • Improved cardiovascular health
  • Improved digestion
  • Improved immune function

One way to maintain a more alkaline pH in the body is through diet. Some foods, such as vegetables, fruits, and certain grains, are alkaline-forming, meaning that they can help to increase the alkalinity of the body. On the other hand, foods such as meat, dairy, and processed foods are acid-forming, meaning that they can contribute to a more acidic pH in the body.

How do you know what your PH level Is?

I ordered test strips from amazon. They are a simple saliva and urine combo test strip and I check my level every few days.

I maintain about a 7 which neutral.

In addition to diet, other factors that can affect the pH of the body include stress, exercise, and hydration. Engaging in regular physical activity and managing stress can help to maintain a more alkaline pH, while being properly hydrated is also important for maintaining overall body pH balance.

There are many different brands of alkaline water available on the market if you are going to buy bottled water I highly recommend Fugi water. There are also great home water systems such as Keagan water filtration systems that you hookup right under your sink. For the sake of affordability I make my own alkaline water and its super simple and affordable.

Easy and affordable Alkaline water recipe:

  • One glass of regular tap or bottled water
  • a pinch of backing soda
  • a pinch of Himalayan pink sea salt.

That's it!  I've tested it with my PH test strips and it works.

5 ways to help maintain a healthy pH balance in the body:

  1. Eat a balanced diet: Consuming a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and grains can help to increase the alkalinity of the body. It is important to also consume an adequate amount of protein and healthy fats.
  2. Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water (See my easy alkaline water recipe above) can help to flush out acidity in the body and maintain a healthy pH balance.
  3. Engage in regular physical activity: Walking, hiking, yoga, any exercise can help to increase the alkalinity of the body.
  4. Manage stress: Chronic stress can contribute to an acidic pH in the body. Engaging in stress-reducing activities such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing can help to maintain a healthy pH balance.
  5. Consider supplements: Some supplements, such as potassium and magnesium, can help to increase the alkalinity of the body. However, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen.

I am already conscience of watching my PH balance and started a few months ago but as I am writing this blog I found this book. It could be a good start if you're not sure how to start.

It is also important to note that while maintaining a more alkaline pH may have some potential benefits, it is important to not try to overly alkalize the body, as this can have negative effects on overall health. It is important to maintain a healthy pH balance, rather than trying to drastically alter the body's pH.
